Topic: Creating a BEAD Initial Proposal

Abstract: The Initial Proposal will detail how an Eligible Entity intends to use BEAD funding, including how it will design both a challenge process and a competitive subgrantee selection process. At the same time, they explain how the Eligible Entity ensures that every resident has access to a reliable, affordable, high-speed broadband connection, utilizing all funding available to be brought to bear to accomplish this goal, including but not limited to BEAD Program funds. As well as detailed actions, the Eligible Entity will tackle critical issues such as climate resiliency, minority and women-owned business contracting, fair labor practices, and workforce development.
